Hello!
I hope you have all had a pleasant weekend? Mine has been pretty relaxing, made even better with the knowledge I have tomorrow off work too :D
Today I decided on a new start, this one has been niggling away at me recently so I figured as it is one of my Turtle Trot pieces then it is ok to start it!
This is Row of Cats by Bothy Threads, and was a birthday gift for my 26th Birthday (over a year ago!)
This is what it should eventually look like...
And this is the start I made today :) I'm hoping this is one of the ones I can actually complete this year, even if I only complete one cat a month then it should be done!
I started in the middle so Chester is the first cat I am stitching up, just a little more on his body then I will make a start on his head. I can't decide if to back stitch each cat as I go or save it all for the end...we shall see!
Now its almost time for me to put my feet up and watch the Superbowl! I'm hoping I don't sleep too late tomorrow and have chance to go out for a run during the day.
Until next time!
Emma xo
Enjoy your new stitch which is a really sweet design, I always prefer to stitch the backstitch as I go as it really makes everything come to life.
ReplyDeleteGreat new start:)
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteLove your new start Emma. I need to get that one.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Thank Linda, there are a few bothy kits I want to get eventually
DeleteA lovely new start, very cute!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Superbowl and your day off tomorrow (:
Thank you!
DeleteYea for new starts. I hope the Superbowl is worth staying up for. Have a great day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank Tiki, it has been very relaxing :)
DeleteHello Emma! It would be great if i also would't have to go to work tommorrow:(
ReplyDeleteThis stitch are lovely:))
I hope to see superbowl also here in the internet...i saw it last year and loved it:)
Have a great day off!;)
Thank you. The superbowl was a little boring in the end don't you think? But the team I was cheering won so I am happy :)
Deletebeautiful start, those Bothy Threads designs are always so cute
ReplyDeleteYes i love them! So many more I want to stitch :)
DeleteCute project to start. If you do back stitching once a cat is done then that's the best. I always try but I stitch here n there based on the color than the image ...dark color first, then light colors . So I never get to complete portions ready for back stitching.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I think you might be right x
DeleteLovely design! I would back stitch each cat as you go then you can see each one come to life =^.^=
ReplyDeleteGreat new start!
ReplyDeleteToo cute. I personally would backstitch as I go. I don't like to leave it till the end.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that might be the best idea x
DeleteNice start and a great new project!!! :D
ReplyDeleteDo I see another cute needle minder? ehehehe I think I remember reading about those a while back on your blog.. very cute :)
Thank you! Yes, they seem to be my latest addition :D hehe x

DeleteHi Emma, I'm LindaLee from Cross'N My Stitches and I'm so glad I stopped in for a visit. What a great new start. Love all the cute little cats and Chester is looking good. You enjoy the stitch and I bet you'll be done in no time.
ReplyDeleteThank you also for stopping in to visit me. Come back soon.
Great new start.
ReplyDeleteGreat new start. I like the funny cats. (Better than the weird ones I'm stitching! lol )
ReplyDeleteI would backstitch them cat by cat, I don't like having to do all the backstitching at the end.
Cute start, Emma! :D I say backstitch as you go. Less to do at the end. HAHA!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable kitties! Great start, this looks like it'll be lots of fun to stitch - the cats are all very distinct characters :)
ReplyDeleteA fun project, going to be fun watching each little kitty appear along the year.
ReplyDeleteLove the new project, lovely kittys.
ReplyDeleteLove your new start :o)
ReplyDeleteNice needle minder! As for the backstitch.... well I always backstitch at the end .... but in this case it might be nice to "finish" each cat off as you go
Can't wait to see more soon! :o)
OMG they look so cute! I'm totally awed ! I have similar designs in hand, but all puppies (different types) Your stitching makes me want to pull it out immediately!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute new start!
