New Start! Oops!

Hello!

I hope you have all had a pleasant weekend? Mine has been pretty relaxing, made even better with the knowledge I have tomorrow off work too :D

Today I decided on a new start, this one has been niggling away at me recently so I figured as it is one of my Turtle Trot pieces then it is ok to start it!

This is Row of Cats by Bothy Threads, and was a birthday gift for my 26th Birthday (over a year ago!)

This is what it should eventually look like...

And this is the start I made today :) I'm hoping this is one of the ones I can actually complete this year, even if I only complete one cat a month then it should be done!

I started in the middle so Chester is the first cat I am stitching up, just a little more on his body then I will make a start on his head. I can't decide if to back stitch each cat as I go or save it all for the end...we shall see!

Now its almost time for me to put my feet up and watch the Superbowl! I'm hoping I don't sleep too late tomorrow and have chance to go out for a run during the day.

Until next time!

Emma xo

  1. Enjoy your new stitch which is a really sweet design, I always prefer to stitch the backstitch as I go as it really makes everything come to life.

  7. Cute project to start. If you do back stitching once a cat is done then that's the best. I always try but I stitch here n there based on the color than the image ...dark color first, then light colors . So I never get to complete portions ready for back stitching.

  13. Great new start. I like the funny cats. (Better than the weird ones I'm stitching! lol )
I would backstitch them cat by cat, I don't like having to do all the backstitching at the end.

  15. Adorable kitties! Great start, this looks like it'll be lots of fun to stitch - the cats are all very distinct characters :)

Nice needle minder! As for the backstitch.... well I always backstitch at the end .... but in this case it might be nice to "finish" each cat off as you go
Can't wait to see more soon! :o)
