Over the next week or so I will be overhauling my blog in preparation for next year and the new SALs I will be taking part in, but first I think it's only right that I should review the ones I took part in this year to see just or successful (or not) I was.
First up is the Crazy January Challenge. Basically I had to start a new project every day for the first 15 days of the year and aim to have them all finished by the end of the year.
So did I manage to complete the challenge...?
Nope!
Sadly some of these projects still remain as WIPs in my stash pile. However out of the 15 I started I did manage to get 8 done - I don't think that's too bad...right?!
So here are my completed stitches for the challenge
Breast Cancer Bunting - Completed 05/01/2014 |
Vintage Rose - Completed 11/01/2014 |
Christmas Card - Completed 12/01/2014 |
Tropical Bookmark - Completed 09/02/2014 |
Rory Raccoon - Completed 16/02/2014 |
Festive Hoop - Completed 05/10/2014 |
Blue Tit - Completed 07/10/2014 |
Home Sweet Home - Completed 10/11/2014 |
However I have decided in 2015 not to take part in this challenge again, I really want to try and finish off some of my current projects and I don't think adding another 15 to my WIP pile will be such a good idea.
Did you take part in this challenge this year? Did you manage to complete it? Or are you taking part in 2015?
Emma xx
I think you did great to get 8 finishes done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
Thanks Maggie!
DeleteCongrats on finishing 8 beautiful projects! Happy Holidays, love Annette
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Merry Christmas!
DeleteGreat, Emma, I love your little finishes very much. Particularly Home Sweet Home, which would be my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done te Crazy Challenge this year, I was doing my Year of BAPs. I'm still a bit undecided if I will join Debbie's Super Duper Challenge which means to start 30 projects in January. But I will see.
Thank you :) Well good luck with whichever challenge you chose to do :)
DeleteYour finishes are beautiful! Be happy with them and don't worry about the ones you didn't get to ... stitching should be enjoyable and not a 'challenge'. ^^
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Thanks Kate - you too!
DeleteCongrats on all the gorgeous finishes Emma.
ReplyDeleteI started 31 this year and am starting at least 59 next year with about 170 carry overs.
Merry Christmas,
Linda
31 starts! Wow! Good luck with all those :)
DeleteWell done on the ones you completed, lovely designs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie x
DeleteWow all is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and happy 2015
all the best for you.
Thank you sweetie. Merry Christmas to you too :)
DeleteGood job! 8 isn't too bad - that's more than half! I never join in this challenge. I get antsy when I have more than two projects going at the same time (my current state of affairs, I'm afraid). 15 would drive me nuts! :D
ReplyDeleteAhhh I remember the good old days of been a one project at a time girl...where did it all go wrong? LOL xx
Delete50% completion is still fair enough considering a busy year that you had. I am starting reasonable amount of WIPs as and when I feel the need for those but I am not being part of any crochet or stitch alongs this year because I sometimes don't have much done to show .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress. You did fantastic. I haven't decided. I know I have enough to do the starts in January but I can't decide if I want to or not.
ReplyDeleteI think you did great to finish 8 of them. Lovely stitching :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWow, eight finishes! I won't count mine. I might cry. But it's better than last year -- zero! I really like the Home Sweet Home and deer card. They're both so cute. :) I didn't take part in this challenge and probably won't take part in next year's. I've got a few SALs on my plate for the first time ever and I'm gonna try not to burn myself out with too much haha.
