#50 December time! :)

Hurrah the time is finally upon us where people can no longer say to me its too early to think about Christmas - Three weeks today!! :D

With this in mind the tree went up over the weekend along with lights, snowflakes and whatever else I could find that was remotely festive.

Cards have been sent in the mail and wrapping of presents will start this weekend - the other half is visiting family in Scotland so I know its safe to do so without the risk of him seeing!

It is lovely to see everyone's blogs and how everyone is getting trimmed up for the holiday season :)

On to stitching. Well...with me getting festive fever I only managed to get any done on Sunday evening and Monday. Now, it may not be what you are thinking...it wasn't on Twilight Magic...I may have started one of my 2013 projects a little early... :D

What do you mean you can't tell what it is?! Hehe, not much but this is the beginnings of Lily. Once all the thread arrived I could wait no longer.

Looking at this photo now I can actually see the start of her eye, which I couldn't close up.

Sadly the photo does not show the gorgeous hand dyed fabric I am working on, so I will try to get another in daylight at the weekend.

Hope you all have a great week :)

  1. The fabric is beautiful. Is it golden?

    1. It is called "Love in the mist" if I remember correctly from Crafty Kitten, it is described as having peach, blue and violet tones. I suspect it looks more golden thanks to the flash and room light! :)

  3. Great new start - it is so annoying when you can't make your camera take the photos which you want it to take, isn't it? Happens to me all of the time. You sound really organised for Christmas - I am so far behind it isn't funny!

    1. Ooh no, I always fall in the trap of been really organised early so I relax the first few weeks of Christmas then last minute I remember loads of things still to do! I am hoping this year that is not the case...

I will try again at the weekend to get a better picture :)
