#34 Computer Games are Evil

My Goodness, despite having the week off yesterday was the first day I picked up the needle and thread for the first time in over a week! It's all to blame on the new World of Warcraft expansion, but hooray I have levelled up to 90 now (the new max level) so (maybe) my stitching will get some more attention.

But!

I do have a finish to show you - the break seems to have turned me in to a speed demon with the needle.

The thread and pattern for this came to me as part of a giveaway from the lovely Minnie over at http://minnie-allxxs.blogspot.co.uk/ and I must admit I think he has turn out great, the pattern is by Twisted Threads and having looked online they seem to have more patterns I would like, I just need to find one which ships over to the UK.

So now he is done I need to work out what to do with him. Originally I was going to turn him in to a decoration for the tree but I'm not sure if he might be a bit on the large size. Any suggestions?

Sticking with the Christmas theme I simply must show what arrived in the mail for me last week, my very talented friend from school who is also in to craft but more the beading/clay side of things made some personalised decorations, when I saw them I asked if she could add cats to them (they are as much part of the family to me) and sure enough here is the result!

I love it - now I just have to wait for Christmas now :(

If you want to have a look for yourself *click here* for her Facebook page, or you can find here under Jelsie Bug.

If you have made it this far well done - thank you again for the kind comments and the new followers, and as I have hit over the 50 mark now I may hold a small giveaway. I'll have a think about what to do then let you know at the weekend (as long as WoW doesn't distract me too much).

  2. Wow 90 already!! I haven't done much of the 85-90 content but did play a panda monk for a while. Though study has now taken priority so prob won't get much of anything else done for a while. Great finish, he is very cute.

    1. Thank you :)

I was considered one of the slow ones in my guild - and compared to the other half I definitely am! He has a raiding level 90 monk already, last Thursday he got to 90!

    2. That is super fast! I just kinda potter along on it at my own pace, I don't really raid so I'm not too bothered about when I reach 90 (I'm scared of raiding and messing it up). Has he played non-stop since it came out??? :)

    3. I too am a pretty casual raider, I tend to only go when someone else has to go or they are short of a healer, and that suites me fine. Other half is in a serious raiding guild and loves it! Well, last Tuesday when it came out at 12 at night he didn't go to bed until 7am! He was the same the last expansion he always likes to be one of the first.

    1. Thank you! I hope to make a start on the SAL later today.

Yes, my Italian audience has increased since joining the SAL, it's great to meet new people. A few I could not follow their blogs as I did not know how to :(

    2. Sorry, is it for a language problem? If it is, please note that Ieda(your Brasilian reader "Favo de Mel") and Giovanna ("Le trame della Galaverna") speak English pretty well, so if you write on their blog they can answer you in your language. About the others I don't know. However Google Translater helps a lot.
I'd like to know more stitch friends from other contries, because I think it helps to learn new things.
      Have a nice night.

Oh no, I think it was just one lady I can't remember who now but I could not find the "Join this site" button on their blog.

      Have a good evening!

  7. I love your finish! How big is it? I can see getting a small square frame for it painted in similar purples of the sweater...then it's an adorable winter decoration, not just Christmas!
