A Stitching post...of sorts!

I hope you are all ok today and enjoying your weekend?

I named this a stitching post of sorts as I haven't actually done any stitching, but I did buy new stash! So I see that as a step in the right direction...haha!

I was rather sad to hear that Nene Thomas has decided to retire her work from the Cross Stitch community. Luckily over the years I had picked up a few I liked but there was still plenty more I could of had.

However, having recently quit my job money is tight so thanks to the sale on at the moment I settled on just one.

Corsair Daemira - Nene Thomas

This one has been on my wish list since I first discovered HAED, and has even been in my basket before checking out once or twice before. But I've always felt guilty about buying another when I already have so many in my stash.

But I knew I had to have this one before it goes away.

All of Nene's work will be retired on the 15th October, and the sale is going on until the 6th so it might be an idea for you to have a look this weekend and see if there is anythign you want too!

You can find it *Here*

Yes I am enabling here! Haha

Until next time!

Just popping in...

...to say hello!

Much has been going on in my life of late.

First up, I quit my job! Yippee! I have been very unhappy there for a while, and by a while I mean...months...years...who knows, but safe to say it was definitely time to go.

Last Friday was my last day, and as days at work go it was a pretty pleasant one. Seventeen of us went out for a farewell lunch and I was showered with gifts, cards and well wishes.

As nice as that day was I know in my heart I have made the right choice.

So, once it was decided between myself and my fiancé we decided maybe now would be the time to make the move to Scotland like we always planned to do eventually. Now seems a good a time as any!

In two weeks David finishes work, and hopefully the week after we will load all our belongings in to a van and head up the M6 to Scotland! I am very excited :)

So my next two weeks will be spent packing and job hunting. 2014 has turned in to a really big year for us and I just hope it continues on this positive path.

My operation didn't happen thanks to a high blood pressure reading at my pre op assessment, but thankfully I have had no pain since July. So I am keeping my fingers crossed for now. Should it flare up again I will sort it once we are in Scotland and settled.

With all this going on I have yet still to do a single stitch. I am missing it but I just look at my stash and I don't know where to begin. Perhaps a kit which came with a magazine might be the way to go to get my stitching juices flowing again.

I'll keep you posted.
