Happy New Year! Day One of Crazy Jan Challenge!

Hello!

I hope you have all had a nice start to the year?

I just want to say thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday, I had a lovely day and evening.

Once I got to my friends house more presents were waiting for me! There was certainly a theme going on...!

First, my dear friend Hannah treated me to a Cath Kidston travel sewing kit, how sweet is this!

Then, my wonderful friend Rachael indulged my love of stitching with this gorgeous Cath Kidston Stitch book! Ohhh there are so many things I want to make in this :)

Finally, my lovely friends Adam and Katherine treated me to a Cath Kidston Mug, along with a cookery book for all different kinds of cup cakes and a set of baking utensils!

Very spoilt indeed!

As ever Hannah's cooking was delicious - homemade Lasange followed by a homemade birthday cake, banoffee YUM!

We had a great night, and it went very fast, before we knew it it was almost time to watch Big Ben and the Fire Works on the tv.

Today, after sleeping off a headache (read hangover) I made a start on my Crazy Jan Challenge.

I picked the Home Sweet Home kit which came free with issue 188.

Until next time!

Happy Birthday to Me! :D

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all well on the final day of 2013?

Well I woke up this morning another year older, not a biggie birthday but still, getting far too close to a biggie for my liking! Lol!

The fun started yesterday when I went to work with 15 cakes in tow for my work buddies as I had taken today off ( I HATE working my birthday! ) and arrived at my desk to find this...

My work desk yesterday!
Yep, they sure do like to show you up when it's your birthday!

After the day at work we went out for a meal with two friends for a curry, Rachael who is now in the Navy misses a good Bradford curry when she is away so she needed her fix before she goes back in the new year. It was a lovely evening.

This morning I woke and opened all my cards and presents. I've been very lucky this year :)

All my cards!
My sweet other half, his parents and my Mum got me a Pandora bracelet and two charms. I want to have sentimental things on it, so David got me the charm of two cats for my fur babies Charlie and Sheldon. My Mum picked out a guardian angel to go on it to always look out for me. :)

I also got a crafty gift among other things! I've never heard of this but I want to give it a go! It's called Woolcraft Desire, I haven't opened it yet but from what I can fathom it is like a length of fabric with holes in the top and you knit with it.

Should be interesting, and once (if) I master it I will let you know how it goes!

Well, the rest of today will be spent stitching and watching my new dvd I got from my brother - season one of Friends, I use to have them all on Video, but of course, no one has videos now!

I'll also be deciding what I spend my birthday money on, I think a stitchy purchase is in order!

Later tonight we are going to a friends house for a meal and a pajama party! Haha, none of us are ones to get dressed up and go out on a pub crawl, so instead we are all sitting in our pajamas, having a drink and playing a game or two - sounds like a good birthday and way to see in 2014 to me!

See you in the new year!
