#85 April YOTA Report

Well it is the first Saturday of April (can you believe it?!) so that means it is YOTA time! If you haven't heard of YOTA before then click here and all shall become clear :)

This month was a success! In case you missed it I had a finish on my first YOTA piece of the year! Hooray!

Tigger Bookmark - Done!
So, then came the decision on what to stitch next as part of the YOTA, well after much debate over two projects I decided on Thomas Kinkade - Stepping Stone Cottage.

Here is where I am the last time I stitched on this - last August! How terrible! This should also help me with one of my aims for 2013 as I want 50% done by the end of the year, not sure how likely that is but it is always good to have goals in life :)

So fingers crossed next report I will have made more progress to share with you.

Until next time!

#84 Easter Treats :)

I hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend and haven't eaten too many eggs!

Luckily for me I only had 1 from my boss at work and me and David shared another so thankfully I didn't O.D. on chocolate!

Yesterday was the first day since Ash Wednesday I had crisps, I have to say I am very proud of myself for lasting all of lent without them! Then, when I did have some I didn't especially enjoy them all that much! I guess crisps might be a rarer part of my diet from now on, which is a good thing!

I received some goodies this week, first I got two lots of hand dyed fabric from Crafty Kitten, I couldn't decide which to buy so have ended up getting both, I have the Disney Princess Pattern in mind for one of these and then depending on how much is left I may end up using the other for a Pride and Prejudice pattern I have too :)

Fairy Wings
Pansy Impressions

I have used the pictures from Crafty Kittens website, as I can't get pictures to do the fabric justice!

I'm also VERY tempted by the new limited edition April fabric which appeared on the site today, someone restrain me - please!

Also today David was ever so kind and bought me a chart, since he didn't get me an Easter Egg he said I can have a chart instead!

I decided on Dwarven Leader by Paine Free Crafts. I am loving all the Hobbit/Lord of the Ring patterns that are appearing recently, but it will be while until this one gets started.

Sadly, I haven't got any stitching done this weekend. Saturday I wasn't feeling so well, I slept until 7pm!! I guess I needed it, but still it seems like a waste of a day.

At least the clocks went forward for us in the UK yesterday, more daylight in the evening mean easier stitching when I get home from work - hooray!
